The cost to join the network.
Live registration cost, recent prices paid, and the path of the current decay.
A view of the mechanism.
Cost & registrations
The line tracks the network registration cost. Red points mark observed registrations and their estimated prices paid. After a registration the cost jumps; between registrations it decays.
Two reference bands
The grey band spans the lowest to highest price of the last eight detected, priced registrations. The blue band follows the last eight registration prices, using the upper half of their variation plus an extra price buffer. Recent prices set a minimum level, with the last four registrations giving a faster response to rising prices. It is deliberately conservative: biased towards higher prices and earlier registrations, rather than a probability range. Neither band predicts when someone will register.
A conditional path
The dashed line extends the current decay, assuming no new registration and no change to the mechanism. The safe estimate marks the first touch of the blue band’s upper edge, assuming competitors register earlier; if that threshold is already reached, it says so. Dated markers also show the grey range crossing. A registration resets that path. The chain has a minimum cost floor; an endpoint shown before that floor is available is illustrative. The projection is limited to 60 days. This is a mechanism illustration, not advice.
